3. A man sells apples. He sells to the first customer half of the total apples that he has plus a half apple. In this manner he sells his apple and by the end of the seventh customer all his apples are sold and he has nothing remaining. How many apples did he have initially?

4. There are male and female members in a club. If 15 female members quit, then the number of female members will be exactly twice the number of male members. If 45 male members quit, then the number of female members will be five times the number of male members. Find the number of male and female members of the club.

5. Ten years ago when I got married my wife became the sixth member of our family. I have a baby now. Today my father died and I am blessed with another baby. The average age of our family now is the same as it was when I got married. What was the age of my father at the time of my marriage?
